Troy Fire Protection District

As the Chief of the Troy Fire Protection District, I am committed to providing the most effective and efficient fire and medical services available.

This business is not for everyone. A Volunteer needs more than a desire to help people. They also need courage, dedication, and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges. The Fire & Rescue service is not for the meek or timid, or for those who lose control of their emotions during times of crisis.

Our service is one which calls on its member to perform hot, sweaty, dirty, strenuous work, often in uncertain and hazardous environments.

We have 24 fulltime firefighters/paramedic/emt in which there are 4 on duty at station #1 and 4 on duty at station #2, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 40 volunteers consist of the Troy Township Volunteer Fire Department. Volunteers are required to live in the Troy Township District. New Applicants are accepted twice a year.

Troy District Consist of 18 square miles in Will and Kendall County serving a population of roughly 18,000 people.

Troy consists of two stations.  Station #1 is located at 107 W. Jefferson St. and Station #2 at 25454 Seil Road; property is adjacent to the Four Seasons Park and Troy Township Offices.
