Troy Fire Protection District is now offering Child Car Seat Inspections by trained technicians. Proper car seat installation is crucial to your child’s safety. Motor Vehicle Crashes are the leading cause of death for children 3-14 in the United States and the single most important thing you can do is to buckle up your children properly every time. Children must be properly restrained and no one seat is safest or best for your child. As part of this service a trained technician will instruct the parents on the proper technique of installing a car seat and advise them on the type of seat to use and also if the seat in use has been recalled.
